Maiden Tech-In-Ghana Conference and Exhibition Organized in Accra

The Ministry of Communications has organized a two-day Conference and Exhibition at the Accra Digital Centre to encourage the development of Ghana’s tech ecosystem.
The conference brought together the government, the private sector and SMS communities to highlight activities, innovations and opportunities for collaboration. 
The 2-day event was graced by leading business moguls, entrepreneurs and speakers who came to educate the youth especially on how to embrace their future with the help of technology. 
The Minister for communications, Hon. Ursula Owusu-Ekuful in her welcome address acknowledged the Ministry of Communications for being the first to host Tech in Ghana Conference in Accra. 
“As the Ministry drives forward the government’s Digital Ghana Agenda to revolutionize public service delivery, we are keen to engage and collaborate with stakeholders from across the vibrant Ghana tech ecosystem and to explore how we can work together collectively in making Ghana the leading tech hub in the sub region”, she said.
With the government turning to ICT to formalize the economy through initiatives such as the Ghana Card, the National Property Addressing System, the eGovernment portals and the Paperless Port System, Hon. Owusu-Ekuful said technology was the most important enabler of the world today, as it was the very force that pushed the economy through innovation, change and economic development across the continent.
“I salute all the amazing tech entrepreneurs and apps developers being showcased at this conference.” she added.
She encouraged all especially the youth to join the tech Ghana as they blaze a trail to become the leading ICT hub in the region.
